Pregnancy Massage

Your body is doing something extraordinary. This is care designed to support you through it.

Pregnancy changes everything about how your body feels. The weight shifts, the ligaments loosen, the muscles work harder than usual — and sleep becomes a distant memory. Prenatal massage is specifically adapted to support you through all of it, safely and gently.

Why Prenatal Massage Helps

As your body changes to accommodate your growing baby, it puts extra strain on your lower back, hips, legs, and shoulders. Relaxin (the hormone that loosens your ligaments for delivery) also makes your joints less stable, which means your muscles have to work overtime to keep you supported.

Prenatal massage reduces that muscular strain, improves circulation, eases swelling in the legs and feet, and gives your nervous system a chance to calm down. Many moms-to-be say it's the one thing that actually helps them sleep.

Safe and Comfortable

Samantha is trained in prenatal positioning and technique. You'll be comfortably supported with pillows in a side-lying position (or seated, depending on what feels best for you). Pressure is adapted for pregnancy, and certain areas are avoided based on your stage and any concerns from your care provider.

When to start: Prenatal massage is generally safe after the first trimester. If you have any pregnancy complications, we recommend checking with your midwife or OB first — but for most healthy pregnancies, massage is a great addition to your prenatal care.
