  1. Whirl oats in a food processor until ground.
  2. Add chickpeas, garlic, green onions, egg, chili powder, oregano, and salt. Whirl until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl.
  3. Stir in lentils, cucumber, and parsley by hand.
  4. Shape into four 3½-inch wide patties.
  5. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium. Add a light coating of cooking oil.
  6. Cook patties until golden and warmed through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
  7. Serve with tahini sauce or roasted plum tomatoes.
